When do courses start?

Course programmes begin every Monday of the year.

 

What is the duration of the course?

For in-person courses, the minimum duration is one week.

For distance learning lessons, the minimum duration is one hour.

 

Will you assess my level of English?

Yes, a Zoom meeting with the Academic Manager is arranged for each student prior to the start of the course.  This is to agree the study objectives and to assess your current level of English

 

 How can I get to Scotland?

There are direct flights to Edinburgh airport from many European cities.  If there is no direct flight, the best way is to fly to London Heathrow or London Gatwick and then take a connecting flight to Edinburgh airport.

 

Will my course fees be refunded if I cannot travel due to Covid-19?

Yes, if you need to cancel your course due to Covid-19 we will refund all of the course fees which have been paid.

 

Which exams can I prepare for at this school?

We are an open test centre and our school offers a wide range of exam preparation courses. We can offer exam preparation courses for a range of exams and tests including: IELTS, Cambridge B1, Cambridge B2, Cambridge C1, Cambridge C2, the GMAT, the BMAT, the OET test, the Aptis test, the TOEFL, the TOEIC, etc.

 

How far in advance should I register for a course?

We recommend a minimum of 4 weeks in advance of the start date of your course. However, we can enrol students with a notice of just one week if necessary. Most students enrol approximately 8 weeks before the start of their course.

 

Do you offer courses for teenagers?

Yes, we offer a summer vacation course for teenagers aged 13-17 years. This takes place in Edinburgh, throughout the months of July. Students aged 16 years+ can also join us in our main school for our summer courses for young adults.

 

How do you select your homestays?

Our homestay hosts are selected with great care. We choose hosts who are able to offer students a warm and friendly home away from home. We like our hosts to interact with their guests and to take an active interest in them. The homes need to be clean and include the standard facilities needed for our students to be comfortable.
