Each afternoon we offer a varied and interesting activities programme. Students can choose either a sporting activity or a cultural visit and these activities all help with learning. It is surprising how much English can be practised on the sports field or in souvenir shops or visiting a castle. Our staff encourage students to speak English as much as possible outside of the classroom. All Young Learners take part in the afternoon and evening programme, as we believe keeping students engaged is the best way to avoid the risk of boredom or home sickness.
In the evenings there are activities every night for those students on residential courses and three nights per week for students staying with host families. Evening activities include lively entertainment, from supervised discos to Scottish evenings and treasure hunts. All students go on a full day excursion on Saturdays and residential students also enjoy a half-day outing on Sundays.
