Courses for secondary school teachers of English
Description
The Refresher Course and Summer Methodology Course are aimed at secondary and adult teachers engaged in planning and/or delivering ELT programmes. Our Refresher Course provides teachers with language improvement as well as practical teaching techniques. Our Summer Methodology Course focuses purely on learning and teaching methodologies.
Both courses are designed to provide in-service training and/or to be a refresher course for experienced teachers.
The Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) course is aimed at non-native teachers who teach their curriculum subjects wholly or partly in English to learners aged 11 and upwards.
(European Union nationals are often eligible for a Comenius or Grundtvig grant.)

Refresher Course for Teachers of English
Full time
• 12.5 hours per week of skills lessons (max 8 per class)• 5 hours per week of Spoken Performance workshops (max 12 participants)
• 10 hours of Teachers Methodology (max 12 per class)
• Suitable for non-native secondary and adult teachers engaged in planning and/or delivering ELT programmes
• Participants should have a minimum language level corresponding to B2 in the Common European Framework

Summer Teachers Methodology
Part time
• 20 hours per week of Teachers Methodology (max 12 per class)• Suitable for non-native secondary and adult teachers engaged in planning and/or delivering ELT programmes
• Participants should have a minimum language level corresponding to B2 in the Common European Framework
