Designed to develop students’ language skills for effective communication in everyday English. The structured curriculum integrates grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, with the four skill areas of:
- speaking and listening
- reading and writing
Course books and printed material provide an important framework for our lessons. You will learn to use real-life language outside the classroom. A variety of learning activities are used including audio and DVD materials, surveys, questionnaires and research projects, role play and communication games. Classes also get out and about, to museums, libraries, art galleries, law courts and shops on factfinding missions that provide the materials for talks, information exchanges and presentations.
The course includes Spoken Performance Workshops to develop active expression of the language and Masterclasses where students follow individual study plans under active guidance from the teacher. Plenary sessions consist of a morning news review and an afternoon consolidation session.
In all courses, the duration of a lesson is 60 minutes. Some lessons may be taught as 1.5 hour sessions.
